Sensex opens on a high on favourable cues

30-share BSE index gained more than 150 points to open at 37,278.89. The index extended its gains in early trading to nearly 300 points and was testing the 37,400-mark. The broader 50-share NSE index opened at 11,271.30, gaining close to 40 points.
