Swedish court jails Frenchman in Nobel scandal for rape

Jean-Claude Arnault, a major cultural figure in Sweden, with close ties to The Swedish Academy which awards Noble literature prize, was sentenced two years in prison for a rape in 2011. Stockholm District Court said that the ruling was unanimous. Due to the controversy, in May, the academy announced that no prize would be awarded this year.
