'Border' film: Real Kuldeep Singh passes away

The hero of 1971 battle of Longewala against Pakistan, Brigadier Kuldeep Singh Chandpuri, breathed his last on Saturday morning. The role played by Sunny Deol in the 1997 blockbuster, 'Border', was inspired by the Brigadier.Sunny Deol took to Twitter to share a picture of the Late Brigadier and expressed his grief.The 78-year old military veteran was a recipient of Mahavir Chakra.
