Roadside chowmein seller now Doon mayor

Sunil Uniyal Gama, a BJP candidate, became mayor of Dehradun on Wednesday, with his party capturing 4 other mayoral seats and Congress settling for two.Gama, 56, dabbled in various odd jobs, from running a chowmein stall to selling paan in his younger days. In 1991, he joined BJP’s youth wing. He now works as a building contractor and said that only BP could have given him ticket.
