Security breach, chaos at Rohtang tunnel

While crossing the under-construction Rohtang Tunnel, some of the 60 Lahaul residents felt suffocated and fainted. One of the people recuperating in the hospital said that agriculture minister Ram Lal Markanda had promised to help them pass the tunnel but his cars passed without taking along those waiting outside the tunnel. The residents then decided to cross on their own.
