Government to merge Bank of Baroda, Vijaya Bank, Dena Bank

Union finance minister Arun Jaitley announced the merger of three public sector banks (PSBs) namely Bank of Baroda, Vijaya Bank, Dena Bank and said the merger will make the banks stronger and sustainable. He said that the step is part of efforts to clean up the country's banking system.
