I had doubts over Khel Ratna after missing Asian Games: Mirabai Chanu

The news of her name being recommended for the Khel Ratna award has come as a huge relief for Mirabai Chanu, the reigning world champion (48kg) and Gold Coast CWG gold medallist. After skipping the Asian Games due to an injury, Mirabai had almost given up hopes of landing the award, considering the impressive show of other Indian athletes at the Asiad as well as the CWG in April.
