6% rise in Indians visiting US in 2017

About 11.14 lakh Indians went to the US in 2017, down 5% from 11.72 lakh in the previous year — the first decline 2009 over 2008. Indians became the 10th largest in terms of visitors in 2017, moving up one place from 2016 by displacing Australia from that spot. The US mostly issues 10-year visas to visitors.
