Has Sabarimala opened the gate for BJP in Kerala?

By taking ownership of the protest, the BJP is projecting itself as the prime opposition to the incumbent CPM. This matters as Kerala has been alternately ruled by CPM-led LDF and Congress-led UDF governments. BJP only has one MLA, O Rajagopal, who opened the party's tally in 2016, whereas it has not won a Lok Sabha seat in Kerala.
