RBI won’t budge on local data storage, deadline ends today

Companies that have not made arrangements to store all the payments information data only in India and not anywhere else abroad by Oct 15 will be termed as violators under RBI guidelines. While RBI has denied budging from the deadline, it has assured that there will no disruption in services. Over 60 operators have agreed to shift data servers to India.
