Senior Karnataka cop falls prey to phishing call, loses 2 lakh

Prasad, a 1985-batch IPS officer of Karnataka cadre, filed a complaint with the cybercrime police station of the CID on Tuesday. As per CID sources, Prasad received a phone call around 3pm on Monday. The caller, claiming to be a bank executive, told him that his two debit cards would expire soon and asked him to reactivate them.
