Twin Paralympic gold medallist Jhajharia to retire

Devendra Jhajharia, India’s most distinguished Paralympian with two Paralympic gold medals and recipient of Padma Shri, Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna and Arjuna award will throw his last Javelin on Oct 11 at the ongoing Para-Asian Games in Jakarta bringing his 16 years long career to an end. The 37-year-old is retiring due to a recurring shoulder injury.
