The Centre on Friday had directed government cooperative Nafed to increase onion supply in NCR from its buffer stock and also asked Mother Dairy to reduce rates by Rs 2 per kg at all its 400 Safal outlets. Retail prices are likely to go up to Rs 40-45 a kg by Diwali, according to reports.
