Hockey WC: How India have fared in 13 editions

India awaits to get back to the world cup podium at Men's Hockey World Cup 14th edition. India's best finish was the maiden gold medal in 1975. In 1971 India won a bronze and a silver in 1973. But since 1975, a fifth place achieved in 1982 and 1994 editions has been the best India could muster. If India makes it to the semi-finals, it will be for the first time in 43 years.
