MLAs across state assemblies work for fewer days than MPs: Study

PRS Legislative Research in its analysis of 26 states\UT from 2011 to 2016 has found that these assemblies sat on an average only for 28 days in a year — an indication of elected representatives’ low preference for discussing matters of public importance. Majority of the sitting days were budget session days.
